Mission Statement
To maintain the Parks and other city-owned grounds in an attractive manner and provide for and develop quality parks and recreational facilities with the hope of improving the quality of life for all citizens of Silsbee. To provide proper building of all structures through inspections. Maintaining all City building facilities and structures.
Description
This department is responsible for Building and Electrical Inspections. This department is responsible for Maintenance of all City Facility Buildings and Structures. Also, this department is responsible for the development, operations, and maintenance of all City Parks, Recreational buildings and the operation and supervision of various recreational programs of the City,
Goals
1. To inspect Buildings and Facilities in accordance with Ordinances and Policies of the City of Silsbee and State of Texas.
2. To maintain City buildings and Structures to ensure efficient operations, and in keeping with good housekeeping policy.
3. To maintain and improve the Cities Parks and Recreational Areas through planning and planned construction of projects with regular maintenance.
Objectives
1. To continue to maintain good records on inspections and building work performed.
2. To repair or replace Park Equipment as necessary and/or construct projects as planned.
3. To keep the City Facilities mowed and clean as dictated by good housekeeping Policy.
4. To perform regular routine maintenance on all Buildings/Facilities of the City of Silsbee.
