Mission Statement
Provide efficient collection and proper treatment of all Wastewater received from users according to State and Federal Regulatory Agency requirements and expectations.
Description
This department is responsible for the Collection of Wastewater and the delivery to the Treatment Plant(s), and the Operation of all Wastewater Lift Stations, and Wastewater Treatment Facilities. This Department also installs and maintains Sewer Taps, Manholes, and Sewer Mains and Low Pressure Systems.
Employees of the Water/Wastewater Dept. staff this department, and work dual with Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Facilities.
Goals
1 . To provide continuous, safe and efficient operation of the Collection and Treatment Facilities.
2. To Operate in Total Compliance with all Regulatory Agency Requirements.
3. Continue to identify and repair Inflow and Infiltration Points.
4. To Repair Sewer Collection Lines and clear blockages in a timely and efficient manner.
5. Expand and upgrade the System to meet the needs of the Customers and all regulations as imposed.
6. Continue to develop and implement management and customer service policies and procedures.
7. To monitor and insure compliance with the City Grease Ordinance.
Objectives
1. Conduct bi-monthly Safety Meetings
2. To make necessary repairs or expansions with a minimum disruption of service.
3. Meet Customer Service needs in a timely manner that leaves the customer satisfied and meets all regulatory requirements.
4. Provide for training for certification and renewals.
5. Operate Treatment Facilities in a safe, efficient manner which meets all regulatory requirements.
6. Conduct all parameter testing in accordance with regulatory requirements at Treatment Facilities.
7. Maintain and review customer records for compliance with City of Silsbee Grease Ordinance and monitor collection system for Grease Ordinance compliance.
