Mission Statement
To provide sufficient oversight of all City Public Works Departments and Projects and to provide necessary oversight on other Public Works involvement in other City Departments. To oversee Planning and Zoning and Code Enforcement Issues. To participate in Regional planning issues. To ensure regulatory guidelines are followed for all Public Works Departments.
Description
This Department provides for the administration/supervision of the Street, Sanitation Building, Parks and Recreation, Animal Control, Code Enforcement, Inspections, Water and Wastewater Departments of the city. Also included is the participation on local and regional planning committee issues, recommendations for needed traffic control and involvement in other transportation related problems, and environmental issues. This department also oversees and monitors the engineering operations of the City.
Goals
1. To continue to oversee the Maintenance Services, Street, Sanitation, Park and Recreation, Code Enforcement, Inspections, Zoning, Water and Wastewater Departments of the City.
2. To continue to monitor all Engineering Projects to completion.
2. To continue to develop and maintain good Customer Relations regarding complaints and/or work performed.
4. To continue working on Zoning and related issues
5. Continue to work on City Infrastructure Mapping.
Objectives
1 . Coordinate with supervisors the operations, planning and budgeting of Maintenance Services, Street, Sanitation, Building, Parks and Recreation, Water and Wastewater Department.
2. To efficiently respond to requests and complaints from the public and issue work orders to resolve or meet circumstances or needs of the Public.
3. To ensure proper administration of Code Enforcement, Inspections and Permitting, Zoning and related issues.
4. To continue to monitor closely Contracts, or projects, and Grants to Completion.
5. To continue working on Infrastructure mapping updated and consolidated.
